Developing Apps with SAP Build Apps— part 1
I have started learning SAP Build which is a niche skill in SAP. So i will document here whatever i learn. It is nothing new that i will post ( Mostly my own learning from Sap learning Hub) but it might help someone like me who is trying to learn these skills.
To make you understand about SAP Build Apps, SAP Build Apps (formerly SAP AppGyver) is a visual development solution for creating enterprise apps without writing code.
I have also started #100daysoflearning in my twitter account to document everyday learning not specifically for the Build apps but whatever i learn related to my technology for myself. Stay tuned.
- Setting up the sap Build in BTP trial account. There are lot of youtube channels which helps in getting the free version of sap build apps, Business process automation tool and work-zone tool. I have put the link here below for your reference.

2. once you get access following the steps in the above link, you will have a screen like this
3. Now We will create a Team app- An app that builds colleagues together. Once you start create, you screen will appear like this.
You will see the final page something like the screenshot attached above.
3. Now our requirement is in this exercise is, We will create the project for the team app, as well as the first pages in preparation before creating the UI. We will also open a preview page for the app. Please follow the screenshots below for your reference to create a basic app in SAP Build Apps.
a. Come to the Home page and Add a new Page
b. Add a new page Called Dinner Connect .
c. Save it and your new page Dinner connect is ready
d. Similarly create another page “Team Challenges” following the screenshots below and save it.
d. Go to App settings and click on navigation and make the following settings as shown below. Make Navigation Bar to No and Navigation menu to No as of now and save it.
e. Once done, come back to the home page and click on Preview
Summary : This is just to give a demo on getting acquainted with the SAP Build Apps Lobby and also creating the project and pages for an App.
These are the following capabilities which SAP Build apps provide to make it easy to build apps.
a. Dragging and dropping pre-built components for building the UI
b. Defining with simple form connections to backend data
c. Creating logic to respond to user and app events
